FAQ – MOST POPULAR QUESTIONS
I guide the session, but I will ask you to do your own research. As much as I am a career coach, I’m also an accountability coach for my clients. I usually assign action steps between each session that will be up to you to complete. In my experience - the clients who take the most action see the best results.
My goal is to set you up for success now and in the future, and any tools or skills you get from working with me will apply to any professional situation you encounter. At the end of our work together, if you are engaged and feel clearer on where you want to go next - that’s a success. Although I can’t control the job market or what you do with the information you receive - I’ve found that you get as much out of this process as you put into it.
Most of my sessions are virtual. However, if you are in the NYC area and want to book an in-person session, please contact me so we can arrange it.
16, I invite parents to attend part of the first session, but after that, I encourage my clients to come on their own.
I’ve been an HR professional for over 10 years from entry-level to C-Suite roles. I am SHRM-certified, and am in the process of receiving ICF coaching certification this year. I’ve recruited, hired and fired, trained and developed staff from the assembly line to the C-Suite, managed employee benefits - you name it, I’ve done it.
The goal of career coaching is to help you figure out your strengths and find careers that match those strengths. It is a time-limited, supportive process that may involve coaching and assessment tools that should be provided by a trained, experienced professional.
It is not mental health counseling or therapy. During our initial assessment, if I believe that you may need other resources more than you need career counseling, I will make every effort to support you in finding the right kind of help.
